Fall 2020.
Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, I joined Tutoria Enem at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF). This is a 'cursinho popular,' a free preparatory course designed to help working-class and low-income high school students prepare for the 'vestibular' (selection exams for Brazilian universities). The initiative was coordinated by Professor Rosilene de Oliveira Pereira from UFJF. I taught the following classes:
Philosophy: Ethical theories. [In Portuguese]
Sociology: Welfare state; Citinzenship and Brazil's Constitution; Social Stratification. [In Portuguese]
teaching assistant
As a teaching assistant, I've consistently gone above and beyond my assigned duties. Whenever possible, I've discussed and suggested improvements to my professors' syllabi, offered additional classes, and created supplementary materials. This includes translating materials into Portuguese and drafting methodological notes on academic activities. Some of these materials can be found below.
